Summer Job as a Technical Engineer in Railways

You will work on developing a standardized template for work, time, and resources (ATR) that should be general and applicable in most assignments. The job involves further developing previous ATR templates through comparisons and analysis, as well as conducting interviews with project managers and project engineers within Trafikverket. Some external contact with suppliers may occur. The developed template should be usable as a common TRV template for ATR plans, both at project start and for ongoing follow-up. The goal is to create a finished ATR template that can be tested in a pilot project within Trafikverket.

Time period for the summer job: 2026-06-01 - 2026-08-31.

Each summer job is advertised separately. This means you need to apply for each summer job you are interested in. If you meet the requirements, you may be considered for multiple summer jobs and thus contacted by several different managers for an interview.

Who are you?

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have the ability to understand various tasks and solve the situations that arise. You have good collaboration skills, are engaged, and perform your tasks reliably. You are motivated by an active partnership where you take responsibility for your tasks in a purposeful way while being aware of how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.

We expect that you have:

• an ongoing vocational training, higher education, or university education in engineering with a focus on railways, or have completed such education in 2024 or later.
• experience working with railways or other experience that we assess as equivalent.
• experience working with the Office suite.
• good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
